Patternless Sweater Workshops
This fall, our own Zina is offering a course on sweater
knitting without a pattern. This expert knitter and
designer will take us from a gauge swatch using the yarn of
your choice, through knitting a top down, seamless sweater.
Choose your own stitch patterns, then let Zina work her
magic, as she guides the class through her world of
patternless knitting. This course is a unique opportunity
to design a sweater that is truly yours. Classes will meet
this fall on Saturdays at 11 a.m. To sign up or for more

Our Comprehensive Beginner
Knitting Course is an excellent value. A series of (3) 2
hours classes, scheduled at your convenience. $65 group
rate, $75 private rate. Materials approx. $12
The Beginner Knitting Course
teaches all the basics to start you on a lifetime of
knitting! Learn 2 cast ons, the knit and purl stitches,
garter, stockinette, seed, and double moss stitch patterns,
binding off, fringing, and basic pattern reading. The course
project is a Sampler Scarf in your choice of over 50 colors
of 100% Peruvian Highland wool.
The Comprehensive Crochet
Course teaches chain stitch, single, double, and treble
crochet stitches, joining, slip stitches, bobbles, shell
stitches, and fringing. The course project is a handbag or
poncho in your choice of colors. (2) 2 hour classes - $50
group rate, $60 private rate.
Interested in learning a new
technique? Does a project have you stumped? Private
instruction is available, scheduled at your convenience.

Fiber Workshops Several customers have recently commented that they would be interested in fiber arts workshops. Our first workshop will be a Knit One, Crochet Too do it yourself dyeing project. The kit includes 50 grams of an exceptional silk, kid mohair yarn that after hand dyeing, is used to knit either a lace shawl or two lace scarves. Melissa, the indie dyer behind Vivid Creations yarns and fiber, will share some of her secrets as she leads the group through the dyeing process.
